The cardiology practice was opened in early 2010.
Services offered
In the cardiology practice physical examinations and functional tests are carried out for the diagnosis and treatment of: hypertension, coronary artery disease, congenital and acquired heart disease, cardiomyopathy, pericardial, myocardial and endocardial diseases, cardiac arrythmia, heart failure.
Functional tests
The practice sports modern medical equipment for the following functional non-invasive diagnostics:
- Echocardiography and Doppler ultrasound a harmless and precise method for diagnosing congenital and acquired heat diseases, arterial hypertension, coronary artery disease with or without myocardial infarction, cardiomyopathies, myocarditis and pericarditis. The tests are carried out on aPhilips Affiniti GE 50 sonograph that comprises Doppler sonography in colour, pulsed and continuous Doppler, a variable frequency transducer, with options for recording the findings on a CD and a digital printer.
- Veloergometry a cardiac stress test that yields valuable information when coronary artery disease is suspected or has been established, after bypass surgery, or after stenting of a coronary artery. The practice has an Ergoline veloergometer connected to a 12-channel Mortara digital electrocardiography (ECG) device.
- Electrocardiography (ECG) a cardiac test, that is of diagnostic value in all cardiac diseases, and is especially useful in coronary artery disease, stable and unstable angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction, and all types of cardiac arrhythmias. The test is carried out on a Mortara ELI 250 12-channel device with automated analysis.
- Holter monitor a 24-hour three-lead digital electrocardiogram (ECG). This method is deployed for diagnosing cardiac arrhythmias with elevated or decreased puls rate and for diagnosing coronary arery disease. The device used for this test is a Mortara H3.
